Free, buy one get one free,
Jack up the price just a bit,
Not as much as two,
But more,
More than I need.
I can have when some can’t,
Fall to the leader of greed.
Because I can,
In glutney’s hand,
So weighed down I barely stand.
Grabbing and taking,
Gathering and faking,
Like I need, or deserve,
Or I can afford it all.
Sit surounded yet in the end,
I have nothing at all.
Things and me,
Walled in so high,
Can’t see, no light,
Suffocated, and can’t breathe,
Or leave, tangled at the feet,
I don’t want to fight.
Collapse in and consume.
Just as I have,
Now I am the thing,
That’s part of the things,
All more than I need.
